India National Cricket Team gave a heart attack to Pakistan Cricket Team by winning a last-over thriller. The Men in Blue snatched victory from the jaws of defeat and made a statement that they are not here in Australia to just participate. The team displayed a never to say die attitude.
Virat Kohli played a mind-boggling knock of 82 runs in 53 balls where he struck 6 fours and 4 sixes. He was looking like a man on a mission as he paced his innings next to perfection. The batter was well accompanied by Hardik Pandya who scored 40 runs in 37 balls where he smashed 1 four and 2 sixes.
Arshdeep Singh was seen interacting with the reporters after the match and was asked about his bowling. ” We are just enjoying our game. I didn’t work too much on myself, just trying to keep things as simple as possible. The atmosphere of the team is very good. We enjoy each other’s success, and if a player has a bad day, we always stand by him, so it helps a lot.” said Arshdeep.
“Very happy with my bowling. We were talking with the beginning itself that we will take wickets in the starting and will restrict Pakistan from scoring big runs. All credit goes to our batters for the way, they finished the game, especially Virat Kohli.” he added.
The left-arm pacer created havoc in the Pakistan batting lineup. He got rid of the dangerous Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan in the power-play overs and silenced all the outside noise. The bowler had the figures of 3-32 in his 4-over spell.
The management would be thrilled as now they have found a reliant bowler who can give early breakthroughs to the team. It would be interesting to see whether he can continue his form as one spell can ruin all the hard work.
