It sure was a great game of cricket between the two teams. Bangladesh was considered a weak time long ago, but they have risen from that tagline put on them for years and proved that they too can beat the best teams in the world. Their talent was depicted in their recent game with India. Bangladesh has a few tests, ODI match and t 20 series with India. The first One-day international match between the two was held yesterday and Bangladesh was victorious.
However, this wasn’t just an ordinary cricket match. Whatever happened in the end, surprised not only the players on the field but also the spectators. It was a great game of cricket between the two teams and it turned out to be much more entertaining when Bangladesh was chasing and managed to make 51 runs with just one wicket remaining.

BAN vs IND – 1st ODI Match: Bangladesh with a Close Win Over India
Moving, the Bangladeshi bowlers bowled an excellent spell of overs, and India struggle a lot. They were no match for the spin of Shakib al Hassan who spun the ball like a yoyo and confused the batsmen. Shakib Al Hassan took a total of 5 wickets in the game and turned the tables upside down over the Indian batsmen. There was slight stickiness on the pitch, which lead to a lot of spin on the bowl and ultimately lowered the run rate, leading to multiple falls of wickets.
However, the Bangladeshi batsmen also suffered a lot at the hands of Indian bowlers. At one moment of the game, the Bangladeshi team was 128 for 4 and just after 26 balls, they were 136 for 9. The batsmen Muhammed Siraj, Sharadul Thakur, and Kuldeep sen were out in the blink of an eye in terms of cricket time.
In addition to the above, Mehdy was very unpredictable for the Indian team, because they taught that Mehdy wasn’t a batsman and won’t be able to fast pace bowler. However, Mehdy proved them wrong and went on to create a 51 runs partnership with Mustafizur.
The partnership between Mehdy and Mustafizur was slow at first, but later on, Mustafizur put it in gear and scored the first boundary for the team after 101 balls. It was pushed through the covers and went a long way for four.
When the first powerplay was over, Shakib stepped in and decided to take on the batsmen on his own. The Bangladeshi team needed to break the partnership between Rohit and the other play. It was the perfect moment to bring in a high-class spinner who could spin the ball immensely on the pitch. However, the Indian captain hit him with a few boundaries including a six. However, soon after that, he was dismissed, and after that Shakib hunted his second batsman.
Then after that, the wickets started falling. India desperately needed a partnership to stop the wickets from falling and continue to do runs. They did make three partnerships, but they did not last long as the Bangladeshi bowlers came in quickly and spun the bowl taking early wickets and restricting India to less than 200 runs. India’s hopes of going past the 200-run marks were crushed. It has given birth to questions regarding team performance.
