QATAR World Cup – Cristiano Ronaldo is leaving Portugal National Football Team: When the 37-year-old Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo found out that he was not included in the squad that would play the round of 16 matches against Switzerland, he made threats to leave Qatar and not finish the world cup.
All this was announced by a Portuguese publication who also stated that this was because Ronaldo was very unhappy when he was subbed off in a match against South Korea and reacted angrily.
He did not want to be benched and wished to help his team every minute of their match against Switzerland and the remainder of the world cup.
However, this publication by a Portuguese press was followed by a statement given by the PFF. The PFF indicated that these were all rumors as there was no indication by Cristiano that he intended to leave Qatar or the national football team.
When we talk about the recent events that took place in the premier league, particularly between Ronaldo and the Manchester united football club, it was a mutual agreement between both parties who decided that it would be best for both parties if Ronaldo decided to part ways with Manchester United.

In the interview, Ronaldo laid heavy criticism on his club Manchester united that then thought that it would be best to get rid of the player. They felt that the interview Ronaldo gave had hurt their image and reputation.

In the round of 16 matches against Switzerland, Ronaldo was replaced by the player Goncalo Ramos who probably had the greatest match in his career. Goncalo Ramos scored an astonishing three goals against the Swiss and led the Portuguese team 6/-1 in the world cup.
Manchester United faced criticism following this interview and so did Ronaldo as former Manchester united teammates Wayne Rooney claimed that it was unethical of Ronaldo. After the club and the player parted ways, it meant that Ronaldo was a free agent who was free to join any other club.
Being one of the most decorated players in the past years, the player started receiving offers. A contract that stood out the most that are still on the table by the Saudi Arabia team Al-Nassr who were prepared to give a ludicrous amount of wage to get Ronaldo to play for their team but the player has not yet talked about this to the press and it is very unlikely he would take up that offer.
In the match against Switzerland, Ronaldo was rough on the pitch later in the match but did not have any impact. The necessary damage to the other team had already been done. He was quick to leave the pitch as the match concluded even though his team was busy celebrating. The Portugal team is ready to face the strong side of morocco in a quarter-final match this Saturday. Its star player was not seen in a training session with the substitutes following the game they played on Wednesday. Instead, he took part in a gym session with the players that played against Switzerland.
