IND vs BAN 1st Test: India lead in the test series: India after the loss in the day international series against Bangladesh is already up to a positive start in the 1st test series against Bangladesh. The Bangladeshi cricket team failed to perform exceptionally as they did in the one-day international matches against the Indian cricket team. Now the Indian cricket team has to win the remaining five test matches to secure their position in the world test championship final.
In the first innings, the Bangladeshi cricket team could score only 150 runs and all of their wickets were snatched by the Indian vultures. However, in their second innings, they showed grace and scored a total of 513 runs in two days.
Moving on, they showed more resistance and the score was 276 with 4 wickets remaining. The star batsmen of the Bangladeshi cricket team, Mehdy Hassan and Shakib al Hassan came with a positive approach on the last day of the 1st test match, with multiple singles, doubles, and slog shots.
Mehdy Hasan from the Bangladeshi side batted well because he scored a considerable amount of runs and showed resistance to the Indian Bowlers. However, he could not hold for a longer time on the crease and was dismissed by Axar Patel.
Mehdy Hasan had swept Axar Patel for six on the leg side after he swept the shot, and it landed in the stands. The pressure was building up on the Indian side because Mehdi Hassan had started to score the runs needed for Bangladesh to win the 1st test match. Mehdy once again tried to go for that sweep shot on the leg side to hit it for a six, but could not make it this time.
India had now struck back and was in the form to take out the Bangladeshi cricket team once and for all. The wicket of Mehdi Hassan was an important one because he is a skilled batsman and is difficult to bowl out once he starts making runs.
With the dangerous man out, India now focused on Shakib Al Hassan and Muhammad Siraj. All India had to do was prevent any partnership from taking place. It is because they knew that Bangladesh had one whole day and just 250 plus runs to score.
If India could not break partnerships and didn’t take quick wickets, the game would go in the favor of Bangladesh, and their chance to win the game will increase. Moreover, they also feared that a loss of just one test match would lead to India going out of the World Test Championship. India now aims for a second win to proceed into the series.
