France vs England – Les Bleus Advances to Semi-Final: There have been some extraordinary matches in the world cup and this has to be one of them. The clash of the rivals when France and England came face to face in the football world cup quarterfinal. The match was full of emotions from the fans and the spectators sitting all around the field in the warm weather and cheering for their home team.
However, out of this pool of emotions and a spectacular effort from both teams, it’s the nature of the game that only one survivor proceeds, and one of them will head back home to share memories with the countries they made in the World Cup in Qatar.
Out of the two teams that played against each other Les Bleus has proceeded forward to play the semi-final match against Argentina. On the other hand, it is unfortunate for England as they will now head home and not play the semi-final against Argentina.
However, it has been an exceptional performance by the England football team throughout the tournament. They have won matches with the bigger teams in the WorldCup and have proven that they are no less than any other team in the World Cup.
In addition to the above, England has accepted their fate and has left the tournament on a good note. With many things learned, they aim to learn from their mistakes and fix them and come back stronger.
On the other hand, the better team which ofcourse is Les Bleus has moved forward after they played an extraordinary game against England, both in terms of defending and attacking. However, let us now talk a little about what happened in the game.
When the game was about to end, the scores were tied. The French team, as well as the English team both, scored two goals. It meant that they were now tied 1 to 1. Just when the game was about to end, a time addition was given.
So just 10 minutes remained and a goal had to be scored or the game would tie and it would lead to penalties. However, the fans nor the teams wanted that to happen so now they were trying their best to score that one goal and win the match. The French coach already had something up his sleeve as he was up for the last-minute substitution.
However, the French coach was holding things and not asking for the substitution as of yet. Just a few minutes later, a volley goal was scored and Les Bleus was 1 goal ahead of England. It meant that England had to try their level best and score another goal to go for an equalizer and take the game to penalties.
Thuram was the one who scored the goal. After scoring the goal and cheering along with his teammates, he was sent off the field with a huge smile on his face. He knew he had done the job from Les Bleus and they would now win the game, which they did.
During the game, it was evident that both teams were under immense pressure, and both had to do something out of the box to win the game for their team. England was on the better side as their players had more skill and experience, but that didn’t matter as the French team was strong mentally.
They knew they didn’t have to lose their cool and play well under pressure, and they did so. Most experts in the game say that it doesn’t happen all the time that the team with the most skill will win the game. Sometimes it’s the mental strength of the team players that lead them to a win.
