Jay Shah BCCI Sectary is keeping watch on the India Cricket Team: With the start of the New Year, Jay Shah BCCI sectary had arranged a meeting consisting of all the influential decision makers of the Indian cricket team to evaluate the conditions of the team and discuss prospects.
The outcome was that Jay Shah was convinced, that the Indian cricket team is in good hands. The is of the view that the Indian cricket team is traveling at an upwards trajectory and this is a good sign for the start of the new year.
The review meeting was held on Sunday 1st January that consisted of the BCCI president Roger Binny and other prominent names of the BCCI such as Jay Sharma, the teams head coach Rahul David, the ODI captain Rohit Sharma.
The head of the selection committee Chetan Sharma, the leading head of cricket at the NCA VVS Laxman, and several other names that were an integral part of this meeting hosted by Jay Shah.

The members looked into India’s disappointing performance in the T20 world cup after the team was sent packing hope after facing a ten-wicket defeat from the English side in the semifinal stage of the tournament. The team was hoping to bring the trophy home but this was not the case.
Moreover, the Indian board also decided to write down the names of 20 individual players for the ICC world cup that is to be held in the home country India.
In addition to that, the members who were present in this meeting also took it upon themselves to make review the performance of the Indian side on several other occasions. The Indian team, apart from the world cup also faced several other disappointing upsets such as their 2-1 defeat to a weak Bangladesh side in December.
Moreover, the team’s poor performance in the Asia cup was yet another blow to them. The Indian team failed to reach the final after losing math in the quarter-final.
The members at the meeting also had some discussion over some other problems that the BCCI and the cricket squad had to face over the year. Some of these problems were the availability of players and the management of workload.
These factors hindered the performances and some conclusions were drawn on how to prevent a similar problem from hindering the performance of the squad and the board in the following year.
The meeting also concluded with the decision that the emerging players have to play domestic cricket.
