New Zealand vs Pakistan – As it Happened Day 2 Report | 2nd Test Match
The second day of the 2nd test match between Pakistan and New Zealand was an interesting one as the visitors initially tumbled but recovered well through a 100-run partnership for the last wicket. New Zealand lost three quick wickets at the start of the day 2 as Pakistani bowlers reduced them to 345/9. Tom Blundell was the only batter other than the openers who showed resistance and scored a half century while batting with the tail.
Once he was gone, Pakistan looked on top of their game. This meant that the last wicket pair of Ajaz Patel and Matt Henry were at the crease. The two bowlers frustrated the Pakistani bowlers a lot as Pakistani seamers toiled hard on a dead pitch in Karachi.
The two bowlers added 104 runs for the last wicket to put New Zealand in a good position in the dynamics of the test match.
Matt Henry scored 68 not out runs while Ajaz Patel made 35 runs. Abrar Ahmed picked up four wickets while Naseem Shah and Agha Salman picked up 3 wickets each.

Imam UL Haq and Babar Azam had a small partnership between them.
However, Babar was dismissed through a run out as the two batters ended up being on the same end while running between the wickets. Babar got out for 24 runs. Imam UL Haq and Saud Shakeel took Pakistan to 154/3 by the end of day’s play. Imam ul Haq was not out on 74 while Saud Shakeel was playing on 13 at the end of the day.
