That’s another victory for the Australians and after this win, they lead in the series by 2 to 1. However, that is not the only achievement that they have gained. The Australians have now snatched the No. ODI team spot from the Indians along with the 4 years unbeaten streak in their home grounds. From the start of the game, everything was in favour of the Australians, but they also put a lot of sweat and soul into the game along with some risky decisions.
Intially after winning the toss, they elected to bad first, going against the dew and trying to bat a soft and dry surface. The openers struck out with great momentum as they hit a few boundires in the powerplay. Conclusively, they did hit boundaries but the wirckets at hand were alos being lost.
Lets us now talk alittle about the bowling of the Australians. The Indian team, just like the Australians team also had a very quick start. They sterted with hitting a couple of boundaries in the powerplay, but later on were no match for the two star bolwers from the australlian side, Zampa and Co.
From the Australians side, their spins bolwers seems to had a lot of fun on the soft dry pitch, because they were able to spin the bowl more than usual and that is the reason why Adam Zampa and Ashton Agar managed to take a six wicket haul and completely destroyed the momentum of the Indian team.
Moreover, the pace bowler Stonois was also a great pick as he managed to conceive just 43 runs in 9.3 overs. Stoinis was a replacement for the pacer Cameron Green because he was suffering from an illness and was in no shape to play the game.
From the Indian team, Virat kholi was the only one who stood firm against the dangerous spin bowl of Ashton Agar and that is the reason why he was the only player from the Indian team to score a half century. After Kholi was dismissed, India was in great trouble because they had to score 85 from 88 bowls, but had only 4 wickets in hand.
The most schoking thing for the experts of the game as well as the spectators was the third straight golden duck for Surya Kumar Yadav. Surya Kumar Yadav had no contribution to the runs from the Indian side in all the three games because he was bowled out on zero runs in all the matches.
Pandya was the only option left for India now but he could not stand due to a bad shot. Most experts of the game say that he should have played a slow innings especially in such moment of the game where the team has only 4 wickets. However, he tried to hit Zampas bowl for a six, but there wasn’t as much power on the bat and so it landed in the fielders hands. In the end there were 45 runs left to be made on 29 bowls, but they couldn’t make it.
Intially the Indian batsmen scored great runs and later on it seemed that the plan was for kholi to take the game till the end and finish it off with a few boundries. Although it seemed to be working as Kholi played some excellent shots, but he too came under pressure on seeing the top batsmen dismissed one after the other. In the end he too was bolwed out.
However at the end of the day the team that plays better deserves to take the win home. Risks were taken from both of the teams, but it seemed as if the risks taken from the Indian team were not executed as they had planned to do so. India hopes to make a great comeback in the upcoming game.
