The BCCI secretary Jay Shah said Women’s Premier League would be conducted far away from home at a bigger venue. The expected duration of the next Women’s Premier League is the Diwali period. Jay Shah said they are shifting the Women’s Premier League tournament in both formats at home and away in the upcoming season.
The next Women’s Premier League tournament will be held during Diwali. He said this does not mean we are presenting two Women’s Premier League seasons. We are introducing two different venues for the Women’s Premier League tournament.
The trend of Women’s Cricket has been Introduced to encourage women in the cricket career. At the beginning of Women’s Cricket, they faced many troubles in improving their performance as Women players failed to go for the big sixes. Gradually, as they participated in different tournaments, the Women’s Cricket team improved their performance. The Women’s Premier League tournament will be organized at other venues in the upcoming season. Women are more likely to play the game out of India.
To encourage young women players, Indian Cricket Board shifted the matches to away tournaments.

The BCCI secretary Jay Shah said we must conduct the upcoming matches both away and at the home venue. The purpose of this plan is to encourage women’s Cricket teams. Women who play Cricket out of town will learn more skills and improve their performance. So BCCI looks forward to conducting the Women’s Premier League tournament at different venues in the upcoming season.
Jay Shah told us to grow the fashion of the Women’s Premier League, and it’s necessary to engage a vast audience. We will find the required audience when we will give confidence to the players to encounter the rivals on international platforms. Recently, Indian Cricket Board conducted the Women’s Premier League matches in March in Mumbai. There was a big crowd in Mumbai to watch the Women’s Cricket competition.
The expected period for the Women’s Premier League tournament is Diwali. Meanwhile, ICC will Conduct Men’s One Day International World Cup tournament in October and November. So BCCI will decide whether to reschedule the matches or continue the previous schedule. Recently in March Women’s Premier League engaged the attention of an enormous audience in Mumbai. At the grand Finale in Mumbai, there was a large crowd to watch the tournament in which Harmanpreet led the team Mumbai Indians to success.
On the other hand, Hindus will celebrate their Diwali festival in November. So BCCI will reconsider the decision to schedule the Women’s Premier League tournament in November or later in the month after Men’s One Day International World Cup tournament.
Jay Shah told the media person’s that We need to encourage women to improve their skills and abilities in their Cricket careers. Over time Women players have improved their batting and bowling. Still, many women batters need to practice hitting a big six. Most Women players should have hit a big six in the matches. But Jay Shah said if the Cricket Board encourages the Women players and organizes the tournament out of India, they will find good results.
Harmanpreet Kaur leads the team Mumbai Indian to lift the trophy of Women’s Premier League by dominating Delhi Capitals in the finale. Under the lead of Meg Lanning, Delhi Capitals failed to accomplish their goal and lost the match by seven wickets against Mumbai Indians.

In 2023, Hindus will celebrate their Diwali, a full-of-lights festival, on 12th November. During Diwali, ICC will conduct a men’s One Day International World Cup tournament. So you will find whether BCCI shifts the Women’s Premier League tournament to the next year or runs during Diwali.
