Pakistan tour Zimbabwe 2023 for Six ODI Matches, a preparation for Qualifiers

A six One Day match series will be organized in Harare between Pakistan and Zimbabwe to prepare themselves for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023. During the One Day International series, Zimbabwe will also struggle to qualify for the World Cup 2023, reserving two seats for them. Pakistan vs Zimbabwe will be a thrilling contest as both squads will try to reserve their spot in the ICC Men’s upcoming World Cup 2023.

The World Cup 2023 event will held in the upcoming months this year. For this purpose, Pakistan tour Zimbabwe 2023, Zimbabwe will schedule the Qualifier matches for ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup in May and June 2023. Some squads, including Pakistan, have automatically saved their place in the World Cup 2023. However, the remaining units will need help in the Qualifier matches organized in Zimbabwe to reserve their spot in the World Cup tournament 2023.

Zimbabwe will play a six-match One Day International series against Pakistan to prepare for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023. Zimbabwe must win the matches against Pakistan to qualify for the World Cup tournament and Qualifier. The teams are struggling and showing their best efforts to qualify for the World Cup tournament.

The Qualifier matches will take place in May and June this year. Starting from 19 May, the Qualifier matches will continue till 9 July 2023. By participating in the Qualifier games, teams will Prepare for an epic fight with their opponents in the upcoming World Cup clash. The best one will survive in the World Cup tournament.

The first match between Pakistan and Zimbabwe will begin on 17 May 2023 at Takashinga Cricket Club. Other games will be in Harare Sports Club from 19-25 May 2023. Zimbabwe will host the upcoming Qualifier matches for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 at four different venues in Bulawayo and Harare from 18 June to 9 July 2023.

In this event, ten squads will fight to save their seats for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023. The remaining two squads will set lock horns in India later in the upcoming months. The squads joining the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier in Zimbabwe include Oman, Scotland, Srilanka, Netherlands, Nepal, West Indies, USA, Ireland and UAE.

Zimbabwe will host the ICC Qualifier matches starting from May 2023. However, Ireland must dominate in three games against Bangladesh to qualify for the World Cup tournament. Suppose Ireland failed to defeat Bangladesh in the upcoming three One Day International series. In that case, Ireland will have to go for World Cup Qualifier matches with several other teams hosted by Zimbabwe.

Pakistan has listed its name in the squads already qualified for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup. Moreover, New Zealand, Australia, Afghanistan, Zimbabwe, Bangladesh, England, and India will also be part of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup in 2023.

However, Ireland was required to dominate in three-match One Day International series against Bangladesh to reserve their spot in ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup. If Ireland marks a victory against Bangladesh in the upcoming ODI series, they will showpiece their name in the list who have already qualified for the next World Cup Matches.

The upcoming World Cup tournament in 2023 will be an exciting event. The ICC will organize the event in October and November; however, ICC will announce dates after International Cricket Board confirms. The World Cup tournament will be the biggest tournament of the year, offering several squads to participate in Group A and Group B to smash the opponents.

Strong squads like England, Pakistan, Australia, India and Afghanistan will need help to knock out each other to win the World Cup Trophy in 2023. The Qualifier matches scheduled in Zimbabwe will decide which squads will join the World Cup tournament. However, the upcoming three-match series against Pakistan is critical for Zimbabwe regarding the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023.
