With the excitement surrounding the seventh edition of the TNPL (Tamil Nadu Premier League) 2023 already at its peak, fans eagerly anticipate the return of their favorite players to the field. The previous season of the TNPL concluded in a rather unexpected manner, with the summit clash being abandoned and the Lyca Kovai Kings and Chepauk Super Gillies declared joint champions. However, this year’s tournament promises to be a thrilling affair right from the start.
Amidst the ongoing 2023 season, veteran Indian all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin generated buzz among fans with his Instagram story. He shared an image of his flight as he made his way to Tamil Nadu to participate in the TNPL. The fans couldn’t contain their excitement as Ashwin expressed his eagerness to answer the call of the TNPL by joining the Dindigul Dragons.
As the TNPL 2023 gains momentum, the Dindigul Dragons are gearing up for their first match against the Ruby Trichy Warriors on June 14th. The Dragons had a forgettable season in 2022, finishing sixth on the points table with only four points from seven matches. They won two matches but lost five, making it essential for the team to improve their performance this year.
With the addition of Ravichandran Ashwin to their squad, the Dindigul Dragons have undoubtedly strengthened their team. Ashwin’s experience and skills will be instrumental as the Dragons strive to secure a spot in the knockout stages of the tournament. The fans eagerly await his contribution to the team’s success.
