India vs Bangladesh Match Prediction | Asia Cup 2023

IND vs BAN Match Prediction

We are playing the final Super Fours game of the Asia Cup 2023. In this game, the Indians will face the Bangladeshis in an attempt to gain momentum for the final. The Indians beat Sri Lanka in a low-scoring game to advance to the final. Bangladesh is out of contention after their previous game against Sri Lanka.

The Indians have played well in their last three games. The team’s big names have all contributed with the bat and the ball. At neutral locations, Bangladeshis have a dismal record versus India. In the last 15 years, they have not won a game against India at a neutral venue. It’ll be intriguing to see if the side can surprise us here.

PREVIEW OF THE TEAMS

India Preview

Rohit Sharma’s team advanced to the final after a 41-run victory over Sri Lanka in the previous game. After a glitch in their first game against Pakistan, the team has been clinical in its approach in the past three games. The top order has scored runs, and the bowlers have been effective. Sharma is hoping for a strong win here to create momentum for the final.

Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill are in fine form and have made strong starts in the last three games. The team will be expected to put on a great performance in this encounter. The middle order is tough, with Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, and Ishan Kishan all expected to score runs. Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, and Axar Patel round up the batting lineup.

The Indians have bowled well in the last two games, and they will look to pacers Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Siraj to deliver with the new ball. Kuldeep Yadav is on a roll, having taken 9 wickets in the last two games. In the middle overs, he’ll try to worry the Bangladeshis. Pandya, Jadeja, and Axar Patel form a formidable bowling attack.

India Predicted XI:

Ishan Kishan, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Rohit Sharma (c), Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul (wk)

Bangladesh Preview

Shakib al Hasan and his teammates have had a horrible tournament campaign. Apart from a win over Afghanistan in the group round, the team has not lived up to expectations. They were defeated by Sri Lanka by 21 runs in their last game and have little chance of progressing to the next round. Shakib would prefer to finish the campaign on a good note, and a victory over India would be a huge confidence boost ahead of the World Cup.

Mohammad Naim and Mehidy Hasan Miraz, who have already scored runs, will be expected to do well at the top. The middle order has been uneven, and the team is hoping for a strong performance from Litton Das, Najmul Hossain Shanto, and Towhid Hridoy. Mushfiqur Rahim and Shakib are good hitters who must contribute quickly in the lower middle order.

The bowling assault will be put to the test against the Indians. To worry India’s in-form top order, they would need solid spells from Taskin Ahmed and Shoriful Islam early on. The conditions will be beneficial for Shakib and Mehidy Hasan Miraz, who will need to slow India’s scoring rate. The team will also be looking for a strong performance from Nasum Ahmed and Hasan Mahmud.

Bangladesh Predicted XI:

Mohammad Naim, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Litton Das, Towhid Hridoy, Mushfiqur Rahim (wk), Najmul Hossain Shanto, Taskin Ahmed, Shoriful Islam, Hasan Mahmud, Nasum Ahmed, Shakib Al Hasan (c)

WEATHER AND PITCH CONDITIONS

Weather Conditions

There is a chance of rain in Colombo. The wicket here is flat and has previously allowed batsmen to score runs. We’ve seen teams put up massive numbers on the board. In these conditions, the team batting first would be thrilled to score 280 runs or more.

Venue Details

R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo is a huge stadium with a good batting surface and a lightning-quick outfield. This wicket allows batsmen to hit across the line, making it a good one to bat on. Fast bowlers have historically struggled at this location. Spinners take advantage of the conditions since the ball turns sharply on this surface.

Toss: To Bat

On this surface, most teams have done well batting first. It is best to bat first in the game, and the spinners come into play in the second innings, when the pitch slows down. As a result, the team that wins the toss will almost certainly bat first.

Winning  Prediction

India will Win this Match

Bangladesh has performed poorly in this event. The team’s major guns have struggled with their form. They must develop their bat and ball skills in order to have a shot in this game. The Indians have checked all the boxes in their last three games, and their top order is performing admirably. It makes them the odds-on favourites to win this game.
