ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023, New Zealand and India Turn Their Focus Towards ODI

India has resorted to Deepak Hooda as their sixth bowling option but with the availability of Washington Sundar, Deepak Chahar, and Shardul Thakur, India’s batting order is in good hands. These are players with ample skill and will surely give the New Zealand bowlers a tough time.
New Zealand opted for only five bowling options in the previous ODI and is expected to go for the same route again. If this is the case, then from the team that plays the third t20, it is expected that Adam Milne and Ish Sodhi would be replaced by the likes of Latham Henry who will also play the role of wicket keeping instead of Devon Conway.
Rishabh Pant will have to move down to the middle order with Gill and Dhawan coming out as the openers. Sanju Samson will have to once again sit out for the match after having missed the t20 matches if the management decides to pick Hooda.
Matches are scheduled to take place in Eden Park, located in Auckland which is also a popular venue for rugby matches. It comprises very short and straight boundaries.
