Bangladesh is ahead as they win the second ODI against India

The ongoing series between Bangladesh and India have taken a twist because India a dominant team does seem to be performing. There will be a total of three one-day international matches between the two teams, and two of them have already occurred.

Out of the three one-day international matches, the Bangladesh cricket team won two of them. It means that they now lead the series by 2 0 and have also won the series.

The toss before the game was won by Bangladesh and that was the first upset to the Indian cricket team because they were in hopes of winning the toss and opt to bat to make a great number of runs. Conventionally, in one-day international and t20 international matches, the team aims to go for batting at first, because the opposing team does get tired after the field.

It makes the chase much more difficult for them and also involves other factors such as stress and nervousness. However, losing the toss wasn’t the first setback for them. Bangladesh gave an excellent target to the Indians and also played classical cricket. After the end of the innings after 50 overs, Bangladesh had made massive runs up to 271.

On the other hand, they lost 7 wickets too. In response, the Indian team also played nearly as well as the Bangladesh team, but couldn’t win the match. After 50 overs, the Indian team was 266 with a loss of 9 wickets.

Bangladesh had a great start to the game but they worried about the wickets falling. After a few overs and with the end of the powerplay, Bangladesh was 66 with a loss of 1 wicket. It meant that their first wicket fell at just 66 runs which were slightly alarming for them.

However, later just after 2 more runs, another wicket fell, and the Bangladesh team started to struggle. There was intense pressure, but the next partnership held on for 148 runs. This lengthy partnership was between two extraordinary batsmen Mahmadullah and Mehdy Hassan Mirza. However, this partnership ended after Mahmadullah got out after an exceptional inning with 77 runs from 96 balls.

He scored seven boundaries which consisted of some sixes as well as fours. Mehdy Hassan Miraz played till the end of the game, and did score a century. He needed a single run to complete his century, and just a ball remained, so he scored it for a single and accumulated a century for himself. He scored 100 runs off 83 balls with eight fours and four long sixes.

The Indian bowling side consisted of their best bowler Washington Sundar who took three wickets and conceived 37 runs. The other two bowlers were Umran Malik and Muhammad Siraj. Umran malik also took threewickets and conceived 37 runs and Muhammad Siraj took two wickets and conceived 73 runs. The Indian batting lineup struggled once again against the Bangladeshi pacers.

The top order was dismissed early yet again. In the first 10 overs, India had scored just 39 runs with a fall of 3 wickets. Kl Rahul and Shreyas Iyer had a partnership of a short 26 runs. Later on, Axar Patel and Iyer scored 107 runs on the fifth wicket.

These two exceptional batsmen revived the hopes of Indian fans, but both of them fell prey to the Bangladeshi pacers. After that, India kept on losing wickets, and they were 213 runs with eight fallen wickets in the 45th over of the game.

On the Bangladeshi side, the best bowlers were Ebadot Hossain, Shakib al Hasan, and Miraz.
