IND vs BAN  2022 Here is a look at what happened:

Rohit Sharma’s injury meant that Ishan Kishan got a chance to open with Shikhar Dhawan. India had a quiet start as they lost Shikhar Dhawan at 15 in the fifth over of their innings. Bangladesh had retained some control over the Indian batters at the start of the innings as they managed only 45 runs in the first powerplay. However, what followed was unbelievable.

Ishan K teed off after the initial caution and smashed Bangladeshi bowlers to all parts of the ground. He got to his 100 off 85 balls as India got to 200 runs in the 27th over of their batting. On the other end, Virat Kohli had also quietly reached his half century. However, Ishan K was in no mood of stopping. He kept toking the bowlers to all parts of the ground and got to his double century in only 126 balls.

With that, he had also broken the record for fastest double century in One Day Cricket. Ishan K got out for 210 in an attempt to clear the rope one again. On the other end, Virat Kohli had also quietly neared his century. Such was the brilliance of  Kishan’s effort that it took all the light away from King Kohli who scored his 72nd International and 44th One Day century.

Other than Kohli and Kishan, the other batters didn’t contribute much. India finished their 50 overs with 409 runs on the board. There was no way that Bangladesh was going to chase 410 runs. They only managed to score 182 runs in their reply as India won the match with a massive margin of 227 runs. Shardul Thakur picked up three while Axar Patel and Umran Malik got two wickets each.

IND vs BAN 2022 What is ODI?

One Day International (ODI) is a form of limited overs cricket, played between two teams with international status, in which each team faces a fixed number of overs, currently 50, with the game lasting up to 9 hours. The Cricket World Cup, generally held every four years, is played in this format.

One Day International matches are also called Limited Overs Internationals (LOI), although this generic term may also refer to Twenty20 International matches. They are major matches and considered the highest standard of List A, limited-overs competition.

The international one-day game is a late-twentieth-century development. The first ODI was played on 5 January 1971 between Australia and England at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

When the first three days of the third Test were washed out officials decided to abandon the match and, instead, play a one-off one-day game consisting of 40 eight-ball overs per side. Australia won the game by 5 wickets. ODIs were played in white-coloured kits with a red-coloured ball.
