Rajat Patidar faces knee Injury before IPL

Rajat Patidar, who emerged to be the new talent in 2022 from the team of Royal Challengers Bangalore will not be able to play atleast half of the IPL season because he has recently gotten a heel injury. According to some authentic sources, an MRI scan was done and a conclusion was reached that the player should rest for atleast three weeks.

After the three weeks rehab session is over, another MRI scan would be done. The results of the MRI scan will determine if he will be able to play for the next half of the Indian Premier League or not. So far it’s a blow to the Royal Challengers Bangalore as he was a phenomenal batsman and scored runs in last year’s Indian Premier league.

It was surprising to know that Rajat Patidar was initially unsold in the Auction for the Indian Premier League in 2022, but the Royal Challengers Bangalore team bought him as a replacement. To their surprise, he scored a century in the first playoff, and after that, he has become the favorite of the fans.

The last Indian premier league season was his best because he was the third-best run scorer for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2022, just after the big players Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis. In addition to the facts stated previously, he made a total of 333 runs in just seven matches, and hence he had a strike rate of 152.75.

Another thing to keep in mind is that the heel injury was received before the player had joined the Royal Challengers Bangalore camp. As a result, it is now mandatory for him to acquire clearance from the NCA before he can officially join the team of Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Furthermore, this has forced the management of the Royal Challengers Banglore to take tough decisions, because Rajat Patidar was hired due to a planned strategy, and hence since he is out, the team will have to rethink hiring someone else to replace him in the initial games of the tournament.

The director of the franchise Mr, Mike Hesson stated that after the auction took place, it was decided that the start player and team captain Virat Kholi will continue to open with the South African batsman Faf du Plessis. However, after the unfortunate heel injury of Rajat Patidar, it seems as if Virat Kholi will have to move to position number three. It also means that now one of Anuj Rawat or Fin Allen will have to take the opening position with Faf du Plessis.

However, it is also to be kept in mind that this is not the only matter of concern for Royal Challengers Bangalore. The management of the Royal Challengers Bangalore also hired the star bowler Josh hazelwood, but his participation has also not been confirmed yet. There are still doubts if he will be able to play in the Indian premier league with RCB or not.

The reason there are doubts about his participation is that he is also unfit. The bowler is suffering from Achilles Tendonitis and is on a path to full recovery, but it will still take time. He had also missed two tests earlier this year. In addition to the previous information, Australia has to play the world test Championship final along with the Ashes series with England.

These two will be right after the Indian premier league which ends on the 28th of May. His fitness will be monitored closely as if he tires out his body, it will affect his performance in the test championship final, as well as the series with the England cricket team. Moreover, he might also face additional injuries if he plays constant cricket.

Conclusively, things do not look good for RCB, and they need to make tough decisions to compete against strong teams in the Tournament.
